Welcome to Burlington House School, Tooting, a brand new Senior, dedicated to providing high quality education for young people who are neurodiverse.
At Burlington House School, Tooting, we believe that every child deserves the chance to thrive at school, regardless of their learning differences, that’s why we have designed a curriculum and an approach to teaching and learning that is specifically tailored to enable, equip, and empower our young people so that they can succeed in school and beyond. Our specialist teaching is focused on SpLDs such as dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia. We offer a mainstream curriculum in a specialist setting, with a strong focus on attaining GCSEs and progressing forward to further education. This consistent academic focus is balanced with our consistent specialist pastoral support.
Our expert team of experienced teachers are passionate about working with neurodiverse children, and we recognise that because they think differently they learn best when they are taught differently. We have a wealth of knowledge and expertise in this area as we are part of the Burlington House School family of schools that has:
- Won multiple awards and accolades in both mainstream and SEN settings
- Been rated as ‘Excellent’ in all categories in Inspection (ISI 2023)
- Received wonderful reviews from many quarters including The Good Schools Guide;
“Burlington House is fast becoming London’s gold-standard for specialist education. It has built on the sure foundations of the dyslexia-specialist teaching of The Moat School, with a creative curriculum and expert training, to create a supportive through-school for a range of specific learning needs.”

Our school is designed to support young people with Specific Learning Difficulties with small class sizes, a staff-to-student ratio of 2-5, classrooms equipped with specialist resources including learner-specific software, and we ensure that we remain at the leading edge of specialist teaching by regularly reviewing and evolving our practice. We also make sure that we are engaging with national centres of excellence and involving ourselves in the national conversation about specialist teaching and learning so that we have the most up-to-date pedagogy and technology to share with our pupils alongside bespoke programmes of study such as Learning to Learn and Skills Academy.
At Burlington House School, Tooting we believe that every child should feel known, supported, and valued, and we are committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive culture that is as rich in ‘kindfulness’ as it is in mindfulness, and where our pastoral care enables every pupil to grow in character and confidence as much as they grow in knowledge and skills.
We are now accepting applications for our first intake of pupils starting with Years 7, 8 and 9, and we would love to hear from you if you’d like to know more about our school.
