A message from Paul Jones, Head of Burlington House School, Tooting
It is with great pleasure and immense pride that I extend a warm welcome to each of you to Burlington House School, Tooting. As the headteacher of this institution, I am deeply honoured to continue the huge success of the Burlington House Schools group and embark on a journey of educational excellence together. We will not compromise on the quality of education your child receives but, equally, we will not compromise on the joy they will feel throughout their educational tenure. At the heart of our mission, is a desire to evoke curiosity, creativity and a love for learning – and our wide-ranging curriculum is designed to facilitate these values.
At Burlington House, we believe in celebrating neurodiverse children, valuing their diverse abilities, and nurturing their individual strengths. Our educational approach is founded upon the principle of catering to different learning styles, recognising that every child learns in their own unique way – and that this uniqueness is a gift. Through tailored teaching methods and innovative approaches, we strive to create an inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
Central to our ethos is the commitment to small class sizes, ensuring that each child receives the attention and support they deserve. Alongside this, our dedicated pastoral care team is here to provide unwavering support, guidance, and encouragement to students and help them to discover their own strengths and talents. We understand the importance of holistic development and are dedicated to fostering not just academic success, but also emotional well-being and personal growth. Therefore, we offer a unique Enrichment programme which will allow students to develop interests outside their academic pursuits – from cycling, to robotics, there will be a range of clubs offered.
In addition to academic excellence, we place great emphasis on the well-being of our students. Our school provides therapeutic support and encourages a culture of kindness, empathy and compassion. We believe that by nurturing a supportive and caring environment, we empower our students to flourish both academically and emotionally.
I would love the opportunity to meet you all and show you around our building and grounds, nestled in the heart of the community. If you do entrust us to care for your child, I can assure you, they will be celebrated, cherished, and empowered to shine.
Paul Jones
